Heyo! Well i wasnt planning to do an introductions at first but seeing evryone doing, here I am!
I can see a lot of people comming from the UK, well i'm from france but always happy to meet people from the whole world! (excuse my bad grammar I am still learning english!)

For me, even if I am on social media I wanted to try forums since I did not really grew up with those!

For my favorite manga, This is Claymore!! I love the dark fantasy but also the females protagonists! Also if you didnt know the author, Norihiro yagi is starting a new manga called "Bartlet Fairy Basslet", it does look promizing!

I also enjoy Another, Evangelion, and I watch a lot of "slice of life" anime XD

Anyway, I enjoy a lot of anime gender except for one...ISEKAI...I guess it's just not for me.. even tho their are some good ones! ( I like Saga of Tanya the Evil )

For video games i am a begginner so if you have visual novels to recommend do not hesitate!

Finally I also appreciate Japanese movies! specifically the ones between 1990 and 2010! ( for example : Love&Pop or Memories of Matsuko)

Don't hesitate to interact with me! Personnaly I intend to be active on here!

1. Your English is far far better than a lot of English people - believe me.

2. I used to be on forums but social media not only destroyed the forum model but then took that content and destroyed it again with their appalling, selfish algorithms and 'curated' feeds. I left social media about a year ago. As somebody who is academically inclined, it's embarrassing to watch so many 'adults' screeching at each other with childish arguments and behaviours.

3. Absolutely love slice of life anime. By far my fave genre. Also not a fan of isekai either. I watched the first season of 'campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill' - even though there was nothing wrong with it particularly, i just can't get into the whole genre. I also don't like those animes based around nobility.

And yes Isekai is not for everyone I just can't get attach to this genre or anime..

Also I agree social media can be overwhelming sometimes and people often go on absurd debates or even give false information so yeah I wanted to try forums to see how it was myself! and this was the first that pop up...I searched for others but they dont seem much online or active!

If you want to start playing otaku games, then I would play Persona 5 first. It's one of the best games of all time in general.

I hope so, although Reddit has largely taken the place of text based, community forums. I do hope that we continue to see the resurgence in forums though, as they are very slowly creeping back into the ecosystem.

yes! I agree we just have to wait slowly I feel like it's starting to come back!

And yes I want to get into otaku video games I heard about Persona, multiple people said it was really good so I might try it!
